LiveFree verification for employers — no account
Credentials that speak for themselves.
VachakCred lets universities issue tamper-proof degrees, marksheets and certificates — digitally signed and anchored on the blockchain — so anyone can verify them in seconds.

How it works
From exam results to a credential anyone can trust.
Three steps, each one cryptographically accountable. Nothing is marked as issued until the blockchain confirms it.
- 01
Issue
The university imports students and results, designs a bilingual template and sends a batch for approval. A second officer approves it (maker–checker), and only then is anything issued.
- 02
Sign & anchor
Each certificate is rendered to PDF, signed as a W3C Verifiable Credential with the university’s HSM-protected key, and a SHA-256 commitment is anchored on the blockchain — individually or in a Merkle batch.
- 03
Verify anywhere
Students share a link or QR code from their wallet. Employers and admissions offices verify for free — no account — and see eight independent checks with a plain-language result.
Verification
Eight checks. One clear answer.
Enter an ID, scan the QR code or drop in the PDF. VachakCred independently confirms each of these — and explains the result in plain language.
- ExistenceThe credential ID resolves to a record issued through VachakCred.
- Issuer authenticityThe issuing university is active, and its DID matches the on-chain issuer registry.
- Digital signatureThe W3C Verifiable Credential’s Data Integrity proof is checked against the university’s published key.
- Document integrityAn uploaded PDF is hashed (SHA-256) and compared byte for byte with the document the university issued.
- Blockchain anchorThe credential commitment is read back from the smart contract, directly or through a Merkle proof.
- Current statusThe database and the chain must agree on whether the credential is active or suspended.
- RevocationRevoked credentials fail verification, with the reason the university recorded.
- Latest versionIf a corrected credential replaced this one, the verifier is told and pointed to it.

Who it’s for
Built for everyone who touches a certificate.
For universities
- Bulk import students and results from CSV, Excel or your examination system
- Visual certificate designer with English and Hindi (Devanagari) typography
- Maker–checker approvals, full audit log and role-based access
- Correct, suspend, reinstate or revoke — every change recorded on-chain
For students
- A lifelong wallet of degrees, marksheets and certificates
- Share a verification link or QR code — you control what you share
- Download the signed PDF and the machine-readable credential
- Report a mistake and receive a corrected version without losing history
For employers & verifiers
- Verify in seconds by ID, link, QR scan or by dropping in the PDF
- Free and account-free — no emails to registrars, no waiting
- Detects altered PDFs, revoked credentials and replaced versions
- Results are cryptographic, not a database lookup you have to trust
Security & privacy
Change one byte, and the fingerprint changes.
Every credential is bound to a SHA-256 fingerprint signed by the university and anchored on-chain. Forgery isn’t hard — it’s mathematically detectable.
Only this one-way commitment reaches the blockchain — never names, marks or photos.
No personal data on-chain
Only a domain-separated SHA-256 commitment is anchored. Names, marks and photos never leave the university’s private storage.
Keys in hardware
University signing keys and the blockchain relayer key live in a cloud HSM (Cloud KMS). Private keys are never exported.
Tenant isolation
Each university’s data is isolated by PostgreSQL row-level security, enforced by the database itself.
Open standards
W3C Verifiable Credentials 2.0, Data Integrity (eddsa-jcs-2022 / ecdsa-jcs-2019), did:web and an EVM smart contract (Polygon).
Signed PDFs
Every PDF carries a detached digital signature over its SHA-256 digest, so a single changed byte is detected.
Accountable operations
Two-person approval for issuance and revocation, MFA for administrators, and an append-only audit log.
Bilingual credentials in English and Hindi
Designed for India from day one: the interface, the verification portal and certificate templates work in English and Hindi, with proper Devanagari typography on every PDF.
What is VachakCred?
VachakCred is a platform for universities to issue tamper-proof digital academic credentials — degrees, marksheets, provisional certificates and more — and for anyone to verify them instantly. Each credential is digitally signed by the university and anchored on a public blockchain.
How do I verify a degree certificate issued through VachakCred?
Open the Verify page and enter the 26-character credential ID, paste the verification link, scan the QR code printed on the certificate, or upload the PDF. You get a result in seconds. Verification is free and needs no account.
Is verification free for employers?
Yes. Anyone can verify a VachakCred credential without signing up or paying. Universities pay for issuance; verifiers never do.
What does VachakCred check when verifying a credential?
Eight things: that the credential exists, that the issuing university is genuine and active, that its digital signature is valid, that an uploaded PDF matches the issued document byte for byte, that the blockchain anchor matches, that its status is current, that it has not been revoked, and that it is the latest version.
Can someone edit a VachakCred PDF and pass verification?
No. The PDF’s SHA-256 fingerprint is signed by the university and anchored on the blockchain. Changing even one character produces a different fingerprint, and verification reports that the document does not match.
Is student personal data stored on the blockchain?
No. Only a one-way cryptographic commitment is written on-chain. Names, marks and other personal data stay in the university’s private, encrypted storage and are shown only to people the student shares a link with.

Free, instant and private. Universities already on VachakCred can sign in to issue and manage credentials.
